Once upon a time, my Mother made me a promise that she wouldn’t get married until the state that we lived in allowed gay marriages. In November of this year she was married to the husband of her dreams. She kept her promise. In the state of Iowa it is now legal to marry a partner of the same sex. I love you Mom. a divine slap of reality; 2012 will be different
So. I have had a recent slap from divinity to say the least. I have been too lazy these last few years. I became so focused on the social cravings that I had when I was younger that I truly lost touch with myself. Truth is: I am just not the most social person in the world. I want to be. I want to be the popular guy that everyone loves, but I’m not. I am serious. I get excited over constitutional changes and programming. Can I take shots and act stupid? The answer is yes. I did it all last semester and now I have a GPA that is less than flattering. I BASICALLY FAILED MATH 117! That’s like basic math guys. I, the guy who made a 30 on the ACT math portion, received a D. I have never gotten a D before. EVER. and this semester I got 3 of them. Needless to say it was a wake up call. I have got to get my act together. I am in college for a degree and that’s what I am going to focus on from now on.
